What is the organic box subscription scheme ?

The organic box scheme is a subscription service that allows you to receive a regular delivery of one of our boxes of organic fruit and vegetables with FREE deliveryThe produce is sourced locally from Belgian farms* and is produced under the strict bio/organic regulations as determined by the European Commission. Find out more about the meaning of 'organic' and the health benefits. The contents of the box changes each week depending on what is in season.

You can make the most of the free delivery by topping up organic milk, eggs and meat.

* some of the produce may be sourced from other countries depending on the time of year. But we try to souce as much as possible from Belgian farms.

How does it work ?

We deliver to your home or office the organic box of your choice every week or fortnight on the same day until you tell us to stop. The day of delivery depends on the delivery address, but is always delivered between 10:00 and 17:30. The scheduled delivery day depends on the postcode. We also have selected collection points that are entitled to a 5% discount.

Collection points

What time will my box be delivered ?

We cannot say exactly what time the delivery will be made, as the route changes week by week. However it should arrive around the same time each week.

We have a live tracking system, where you can see exactly where our drivers are at any time. You can also ask them for an estimated time of arrival on the day of your delivery. Click here to find out more.

What if I'm not at home during the day ?

If you are not at home during the day to receive your delivery, we offer the following possibilities:

1. We can leave the box somewhere (in a garage, with a neighbour etc)

2. We can deliver the box to your workplace

3. Leave us a key for your apartment lobby

4. Collect your box from one of our colection points

The delivery boxes are made from strong cardboard and are completely sealed, so there is no problem to leave them outside or in the lobby of an apartment block.

How do I pay ?

You have 3 possibilities to pay for the subscription.  Payments by bank transfer or credit card should be made before delivery, or pay by cash on delivery of your box.

A statement of your payment and order history is sent by email the Monday before each delivery. The statement is in the form of an account balance. Please keep your account balance in credit. If you cannot pay before your delivery, please contact us.

Bank transfer

Please pay in advance by bank transfer, or set up a standing order. Please make sure that your subscription (order) number is written in the free message part of the transfer form.

Note: You can transfer any amount and your subscription account will be updated. It will be informed to you before your next delivery.

Pay on delivery Pay by cash or 'cheque repas' on delivery of your box, or leave an envelope where we can find it. If you don't have the correct change, we'll deduct the extra from the next box

What are the benefits of the scheme ?

1. There are no delivery charges

2. We try to source as much as possible from Belgian organic farms, and is always seasonal and very fresh

3. You can add any other item from the reason2.be website to your box with no additional cost of delivery.

4. Subscribing to the service entitles you to receive our monthly newsletter that includes recipes, healthy lifestyle tips and information on events in Belgium.

5. Your delivery time-slot is assured with no need to reserve it. You can skip a week or cancel completely with no obligation.

6. If you receive fruit or vegetables that you are not entirely satisfied with, we will refund you or give you a discount on a future box with no questions asked.

7. You do not need to be at home when we deliver your box. Just tell us where to leave the box in case you are out. You can specify these instructions during checkout. We can also deliver to workplaces if preferred.

How can I be guaranteed the produce I receive is organic and from Belgian farms ?

All our fruit & vegetables are bought from Pro Natura and Biofresh, who are a specialist suppliers based in Nivelles and Mechelen. For more information on the source of the organic produce, click here

How can I keep my organic box cool and dry if it is left outside ?

We offer a 'cool & dry' storage container, that maintains a cool temperature in a waterproof box. You can buy the containers from us. Click here for more details.

How often is my order delivered?

Orders are delivered every week or every fortnight (bi-monthly). You can choose.

Can I order just one box to try out the service ?

Yes. When ordering your box, just select on 'one-off' delivery. There is a 3 Euro delivery charge for one-off orders

Can I suspend deliveries if I go on holiday ?

Yes, just let us know when you want to skip a delivery or suspend for any amount of time by clicking hereClick here to see the deadlines for cancellation is Sunday (12pm) of the delivery week.

Is there any charge for cancelling or changing my subscription ?

No. You can cancel or change your subscription at any time with no charge. Please tell us the week before your delivery. Note - If you cancel a delivery after the deadline, we may charge you the full amount for the perishable items.

Why are the contents of my box different to what is mentioned on the website ?

Due to the perishable nature of fruit and vegetables, it is very difficult to know exactly what will packed in our boxes until the actual day of packing/delivery. The farms deliver their produce on a daily basis to the distributors and we choose the produce predominately on quality. Therefore if there is something not up to our standard, we will substitute the item with other items of similar or higher value, and of a similar type (e.g beetroot for turnip). We always include seasonal produce, so whatever you receive you can be sure of the quality and freshness.

Can I add extra items to my organic box ?

Its easy, and free, to add items from reason2.be to your organic box delivery. The deadline for ordering extra items (excluding meat) for a future delivery is the Click here to see the deadlines for adding extra produce.

Can I return the packaging to reason2.be ?

Absolutely yes. We will re-use any cardboard box, egg box and plastic tray returned to us. In fact we encourage customers to leave their old boxes and our packaging for us to pick up. This helps to acheive our aim in reusing or recycling all packaging. Click here for more details about or reuse and recycling policy.

How do I pay for additional items ?

You can pay by credit card, cash on delivery or bank transfer. There is no additional charge for delivery. Additional items will be added to your regular subscription invoice.

How do I change or cancel my subcription ?

Can I decide the contents of my box ?

At the moment it is not possible for us to modify the contents of each box to suit individual customers. However, if you have a particular dislike we'll always replace it for something else. Just mention your dislikes when subscribing online, or tell us at any time afterwards here.

How do I cancel my order completely ?

You should contact us by email if you need to cancel completely your subscription or your one-off order. You can do this at anytime and there is no charge for cancellation, unless you cancel after the deadline.

How do I reschedule my one-off delivery ?

Contact us if you would like to reschedule your one-off delivery.

How is my order packaged ?

All orders are packed in a cardoard box with a lid. They are transported in a cooled plastic box to ensure the perishable products remain fresh during transit.

What happens if I am not at home when the order is delivered ?

You can specify special delivery instructions during checkout, so that orders can be left somewhere in case you are not at home. For example, orders can be left with a neighbour, in a garage, or even on the doorstep.

If you have not informed us in advance of special delivery instructions, and nobody is at home when we make the delivery, then you may be charged for the items that are perishable in case we cannot reschedule the delivery.

How do I return goods ?

You can return items up until 7 days after delivery. You should return the items to reason2.be depot (Steenput 6, 1933 Sterrebeek) in the packaging that they were delivered in. Credit card payments will be credited with a refund. Cash payments can be refunded by special arrangements. Perishable items cannot be returned. Contact us to arrange the return of any items.

What happens if my order is damaged or defective ?

Please contact us if any delivered items are not to your satisfaction.

What happens if my order is late, or does not arrive ?

We are sorry that sometimes due to circumstances beyond our control, deliveries may occasionally be late. In these cases, we will try to contact you by phone to warn you of this possibility. If you can accept the late delivery, then we will deliver that day. Otherwise we will contact you to reschedule your delivery.

What is 'organic' ?

Organic food is known as 'bio' in Belgium. Organic food in Belgium must be supplied according to the standard set out by the European Commission. All our fresh organic products are sourced from local suppliers and all conform to this standard. For more information please refer to organic standards, or contact us

Why do you charge for delivery for one-off orders ?

It is necessary for us to charge more for delivery for one-off orders due to additional administration required.

How can I have my company or school included as a collection partner ?

Please contact us if you would like to add your company to our collection points.

Do I need to have the exact change if I choose cash on delivery ?

No, but it would be appreicated

Can I pay with 'tickets restaurant' ?

Yes
